Landon boy, I can't believe it's already been one month! I learned with Eli how fast time really flies, and you've proven that point again. We love you so, so much!
Firsts: Everything - shopping trips, Chuck E Cheese, meeting extended family, road trip (to Montgomery with Mommy and Daddy), bath, bottle, mail, etc. You even got your first little cold. I believe we have Eli (or maybe the pollen) to thank for that one.
News headlines: Malaysian flight 370 went missing, opening day of baseball, Chilean earthquake
Milestones: Your belly button stump fell off just after 3 weeks so you got a bath! You have a strong neck. You like to show off and hold your head up.
Measurements: At your last check-up you weighed 8 lbs 10 oz, and were 21 inches long! Your newborn size clothes are getting tighter. You can also wear some 0-3 mth sizes. We graduated out of the newborn size diapers into the size 1s.
Like Mommy: We both like to sleep. You spit up a lot. Daddy says you get that from Mommy. It's not uncommon for Mommy to throw up either.
Like Daddy: Blue eyes and brown hair!
Like Eli: Y'all have some of the very same facial expressions. Daddy and I love it! You stretch the exact same way. It's so sweet.
Challenges: The spitting up and amount of gas you have is definitely a challenge. Some days are better than others. The bad days are really bad (think projectile and frequent wardrobe changes for the whole family). That's really our only challenge with you. You're a very sweet and laid-back baby!
Our Days: You eat for the last time around 10pm and then get in your bed the pack and play by Mommy's side of the bed. You can usually make it until about 3ish. You get up and eat for about 9 or so minutes (not bad at all compared to Eli!). You make it again to about 7 am and eat again for about 9 minutes. You usually are knocked back out until 10 or after. Mommy sometimes goes back to sleep after your 7 am feeding, and sometimes I just watch the Today Show. Daddy (or Nana, or Ginny/Pops) has been taking Eli to school around 8 and he stays for a shorter time. It gives him something to do and keeps him on his schedule, while giving the rest of us some one-on-one time with you! Next week will be the real test for Mommy. Daddy will be back at work from Spring Break, and we won't have anymore help from grandparents, but we'll make it!
Funny/Favorite Moments: We love to see you stretch! You stretch exactly like Eli did, even down to the position of your arms and your facial expression. One of our favorite moments was when we first heard you cry. We also get cracked up sometimes when we call you by the wrong name (sorry, buddy). So far you've been called Wesley, Eli, and Zach. We hated that you were under the bilirubin lamp, but you were cute in your shades laying under your little "tanning bed".
Nicknames: Landon boy (given to you by your brother). Eli also calls you "little boy" sometimes. I prefer "little man".
Upcoming Events: Tia and Aidan are coming for a visit and Easter are the exciting events! You starting school and Mommy having to go back to work will be the sad events. : (
And because Mommy is always up for a good comparison, here's you and Eli's 1 month pictures!
